This volume includes the edition of the Misa a 5 Omnis spiritus laudet Dominum (1725) by José de Torres (1670-1738), organist and later chapel master of the Royal Chapel of Madrid. It is Torres' most ambitious mass and one of his most brilliant compositions. This seems to have been recognized by José de Nebra (1702-1768), organist and vice-master of the Royal Chapel, when in 1751, when planning the creation of a music archive for the Royal Chapel, the Patriarch of the Indies asked him if the works of José de Torres were appropriate for the functions "according to the present style". Nebra responded positively to the query, as Torres' works were the object of admiration, even though, in general, they were brief and succinct.

Voices and instruments: SSATB (soloists), SSATB (ripieno choir); 2 oboes, 1 or 2 trumpets, 2 violins, viola and bc.
