The mass «a la moda francesa» by Sebastián Durón was composed probably during the first years of the 18th century. It could be  composed to please the new Borbon king, Philip V, after his accession to the Spanih throne at the end of 1700. This mass has varied sections (solos, duos, choirs, double choirs, etc.). Some fragments seem to imitate the rythms and melodies of the French minuets. Sometimes the mass reminds the «batalla» works with the intervention of the solo trumpet. This festive mass is one of the most ambitious preserved works by Durón.

Voices: SSAT (soloist choir) - choir SATB.
Instruments: trumpet, two violins and bc.
