Purchase Conditions

Acceptance of the purchase by confirming the order implies that you accept the general conditions (see Legal Notice), which shall govern, in the absence of specific conditions, the relationship established between you and the Asociación Ars Hispana (hereinafter, Ars Hispana).

Prices and Taxes

The prices in this catalogue include VAT. For shipments to the Canary Islands, Ceuta, and Melilla, VAT will be deducted. For shipments to non-EU countries, VAT will also be deducted.

Book prices, as set out in Article 9 of Law 10/2007 of 22 June on Reading, Books and Libraries, are set by the publishers. Exceptionally, they may undergo slight changes without prior notice, but always justified through communication from the publisher.

Shipping Methods

Ars Hispana works with Packlink – OMI Europa S.L., which offers several shipping options through a selection of different courier companies. This allows the buyer to choose the option that best suits their needs. The buyer will be informed at all times about the status of the shipment and will be able to track it. If the shipment is not delivered within the estimated timeframe, please notify us so we can file the corresponding claim with the carrier. Please note that couriers do not deliver on Saturdays, Sundays, or public holidays. Under no circumstances will failure to meet estimated delivery times justify a refund of shipping costs.

We also use a Correos postal service for pickup at a Correos office, so it should not be selected for institutional shipments, which must be delivered to a physical address.

Cash-on-delivery payment is not available.

Shipping costs are always paid by the customer and are calculated based on weight brackets. In all cases, the Ars Hispana online store automatically calculates shipping costs according to the weight of the items, the delivery address, and the chosen payment method. The total amount of the order is shown for confirmation before completing the shipping form together with the remaining necessary data for processing.

If for national shipments the customer wishes to change the delivery address after the package has already been handed over to the carrier, an additional amount must be paid, equivalent to a mainland shipment within the corresponding weight bracket.

If for reasons beyond Ars Hispana’s control a shipment is returned to us, the customer must pay an additional amount equivalent to two shipments (return and reshipment) within the corresponding weight bracket in order to receive their package.

Ars Hispana is not responsible for delays or costs arising from customs procedures that may occur in certain countries. In such cases, the buyer is responsible for completing any procedures required by their country’s government, as well as paying any applicable customs duties and any other expenses arising from customs processing, if applicable. Ars Hispana will assist its customer as far as possible and will inform them of such circumstances as soon as they become known.

If the online store does not accept shipments to your country, please contact Customer Service so that we can offer an alternative solution.

Information

Under Articles 40 and 47 as amended by Law 47/2002 of 19 December, Ars Hispana, through its online store, provides its customers truthfully, efficiently, and sufficiently with all the information necessary to enable satisfactory purchase of the products offered. For this reason, it is essential to read carefully both the general conditions contained in the Legal Notice and these Purchase Conditions.

Additionally, at each stage of the purchase process, Ars Hispana will send an informative email corresponding to the specific stage (automatic email for new customer registration, order receipt, payment confirmation and invoice, shipping notice, etc.).

Warranty and Returns

All items shipped by Ars Hispana are covered by warranty in the event of defects, errors, or imperfections. In such cases, the item will be replaced at no additional cost to the customer as soon as possible or, if this is not feasible, the price of the item and shipping costs, if applicable, will be refunded. To claim the warranty, the customer must notify the anomaly to the bookstore staff in a reliable manner within no more than fifteen calendar days from receipt of the books.

Ars Hispana informs its customers that, under Law 47/2002, they are entitled to the right of withdrawal. This consists of the possibility of returning the purchased item, without penalty and without providing any reason, within seven working days from receipt of the order, provided that the item is not included among the exceptions set out in Article 47 of the same law (in this case, sheet music) and is returned in the same condition in which it was delivered. If exercising this right, the customer must bear the direct costs of returning the item or deliver it directly to the bookstore, presenting the purchase invoice. After receiving the item and verifying its condition, Ars Hispana will refund the price of the returned item—shipping costs excluded—as soon as possible and always within a maximum of thirty days from the withdrawal.

Failure to collect a shipped package will not be considered a return. To exercise consumer rights, the customer must correctly fulfil the obligations set out in these Purchase Conditions. Otherwise, Ars Hispana reserves the right to take appropriate legal action. For prepaid and uncollected shipments, the customer must contact us as soon as possible to resolve the issue. After one month from the collection deadline, the package will be considered abandoned and the right to make any claim will be lost.

In any case, before returning any item, the customer must contact Ars Hispana to agree on the procedure to be followed.

Order Processing

Orders placed online are firm. If you need a quote or a pro forma invoice, please indicate this in the comments. We will send the document to the email address you provide.

Orders will be processed Monday to Friday within 24 hours of receipt. Orders received on Fridays after 1:00 p.m. and on weekends will be processed from the following Monday.

During order processing, the customer will be informed of the status of their order and of any incidents that may arise.

Payment Methods

• Bank transfer: When choosing this method, you must wait for the confirmation email in which we will provide the bank account number and the exact amount to be transferred. Factors such as VAT exemptions, application of the D.U.A., discounts, etc., may cause the actual amount to differ from the one shown in the online store. Please remember to include the book buyer’s name—if different from the account holder—and the order reference number in the transfer details.

Except in specific cases (institutional purchases, etc.), the shipment will not be made until payment of the full amount has been confirmed. To speed up the process, you may send us proof of payment (fax or email) or request that your bank send it directly. Once the books are reserved, the deadline for making the transfer is one week; if this period is exceeded without justified cause, the order will be cancelled.

International transfers: In international transfers, all financial charges must be borne by the buyer.

• Credit or debit card: To process the order, you will be asked to provide the card number and expiration date. This information is not stored on our website and must be re-entered for each purchase. Data security is guaranteed through certified SSL encryption protocols.

• PayPal: During payment, you will be redirected to the PayPal website, where you must access your personal PayPal account. This payment method involves additional management fees.
