The fact that no autograph manuscript of this work is preserved and that the only known source only refers to it as "Sinfonía de Don Ramón Carnicer" makes it a complex undertaking to assign a specific title to this symphony. We consider that it could be his Gran sinfonía a tres orquestas (1838), which until now was believed to be lost, and composed expressly for the ballrooms of the Orient, since Carnicer, in addition to being a theater director, would have been an impresario of the masquerades in Madrid since 1836.

Orchestra: flautín, 2 flautas, 2 oboes, 2 clarinetes, 2 fagotes, 4 trompas, 2 trompetas, 3 trombones, percusión, violines, violas, violonchelos y contrabajos.

Movements: Allegro – Andantino – Allegro
