We publish in this volume the Symphony in D major (ca. 1815) by Ramón Carnicer y Batlle. There are several characteristics that lead us to believe that this symphony by Carnicer is the earliest of those we have preserved. Be that as it may, this is one of Carnicer's earliest works, dating back to around the 1810s, after his formative years.
