Purchasing Terms

Acceptance of the purchase by confirming the order means that you accept the general conditions (see Legal Terms), which prevail, in the absence of special conditions, the relationship established between you and Asociacion Ars Hispana (in future, Ars Hispana).

Shipping Forms

Ars Hispana uses exclusively courier agencies for their shipments. We have selected for each case the best deal available, working with reliable companies that offer the best terms with economic tariffs, best delivery times and the possibility of tracking the shipment. If the shipment were not delivered in the considered terms, let us know to make the opportune claim to the carrier. Keep in mind that couriers do not deliver items on Saturdays, Sundays or holidays. The breach of the considered terms will not justify the return of shipping charges.

Ars Hispana does not ship to PO Boxes out of Spain.

Shipping costs are always provided by the customer. In Spain, they are calculated based on weight sections. For the rest of the world, the shipping costs are very variable and depends on the geographical areas and the weight.  

 In all cases, the virtual store of Ars Hispana automatically calculates shipping costs based on the weight of the items, the delivery address and the payment method chosen. The total amount of the order is shown for approval before completing the submission form along with the rest of the necessary details for processing.

In domestic shipments, if the customer wishes to change the delivery address once the package is already in the hands of the carrier, the customer must pay an additional amount, equivalent to a mainland shipping within the section of weight fitted to the order.

If through no fault of Ars Hispana a shipment were returned to us, to receive the package the customer must pay an additional amount equal to two shipments (return and forwarding) within the weight section that corresponds.

Ars Hispana is not responsible of the delays and costs arising from customs management which may occur in some countries. In such cases, the customer will be responsible for completing the formalities that the government of its country demands to him, as well as for paying the required fees and any other costs resulting of the custom management, if they exist. Ars Hispana will collaborate with its customer as far as possible, informing him of that fact at the time it had certainty of it. 

Prices and taxes

This catalogue prices include VAT.

When shipping to the Canary Islands, Ceuta, and Melilla, VAT shall be deducted. When shipping to non EU countries VAT will be also deducted.

The prices of books, as set out in Article 9 of Law 10/2007 of June 22, about Reading, Book and Libraries, are set by publishers. Exceptionally there may be slight variations without prior notice, but always justified by means of a communication from the publisher.

Ars Hispana directly imports the majority of the non Spanish books which includes in its catalogue. In these cases, besides the modifications due to the publisher, fluctuations in the original currency can cause variations in the final price of a book it tooks no stock. The customer will be always informed into these variations before considering the order confirmed.

Information

Under Articles 40 and 47 amended by Law 47/2002 of 19 December, Ars Hispana via its virtual store provides toits customers, in as truthful a way as possible, effective and sufficient information needed to perform an acceptable purchase of the products it offered. The key issue is the close reading of the general conditions contained both in the Legal Terms and in these Purchasing Terms.

In addition, at each stage of the purchasing process, Ars Hispana will send an informative mail referred to the particular stage to which it relates (automatic email of reception of the order, informative and personal email of the beginning of the process, informative emails related to modifications of the final price, application of discounts, delays or issues concerning any title, notice about delivery date of the order, etc.)

Warranty & returns

All items sent by Ars Hispana are covered by warranty in case of presenting defects or errors. In that case it will be replaced with no additional cost to the customer as soon as possible or, if this were not possible, item costs will be returned. and shipping costs if applicable. The same actions will be taken if the customer had made the decision to purchase because of a typo or a factual error that inadvertently and in spite of the will of Ars Hispana, would be found in the information about the product chosen. To enforce the warranty is essential that the customer reports truthfully the anomaly to the bookshop staff no later than fifteen working days from receiving the items.

Ars Hispana informs its customers that, according to Law 47/2002, for orders inside the Spanish territory, thet are attended by the right of withdrawal. It consists in the possibility of returning the item purchased, without penalty and without giving any reason, within seven working days from the reception of the order, in the same state it was delivered, as long as the item is not within the exceptions listed in article 47 of the same Law (in our case, audio or video recordings, sheet music, and magazines). In the event of recourse to this right, the customer will bear the direct costs of returning the item and deliver it at the bookshop, presenting the purchase invoice. After receiving the item and check its status, Ars Hispana will refund the amount of the returned item in the shortest time possible -shipping costs not included- within the maximum period of thirty days from the withdrawal.

It will not be considered like return if customer do not pick up of a sent package. To qualify for its rights, the customer must correctly fulfill the contracted obligations included in these Purchasing Terms. Otherwise, Ars Hispana reserves the right to appeal to the relevant legal action.
In any case, before returning any item, customer must contact the bookshop to decide the way to make effective the due. In addition to other contact information, Ars Hispana offers its customers the e-mail address reclamaciones@elargonauta.com.

Order Processing

Orders over the Internet are made on a firm basis. If you need a budget or a pro forma invoice, you must indicate it in comments. We will send the document to the email address you provide.

Orders will be processed Monday through Friday within the 24 hours following to their reception. Orders received Fridays after 13:00 pm and in weekends will be processed the following Monday.

During the processing of the order, Ars Hispana will inform the customer about the order status as well as any issues which might arise.

Payment methods

-Bank transfer: if you choose this payment method, please wait for the confirmation that will be send by email, where you will be informed of the exact amount to enter and the our account number: factors such as tax exemptions, application of the D.U.A., discounts, etc.. may cause the actual amount does not match the one which appears in the virtual store. It is essential to include the order reference number into the concept of the banking operation.

With some exceptions (Spanish institutional purchases, etc.), shipping will not be made until we have the bank record of the income for the full amount. In order to expedite the proceedings please send us copy of the voucher (fax or electronic mail). Once you receive email confirmation, the period for transfer shall be one week; if that time is exceeded without well-grounded cause, the order will be canceled. 

International bank transfers: In the case of international transfers, financial costs must be borne in full by the customer.

-Credit card: for collection of the order, it will ask for the card number and the expiration date. The card details are not stored on our website and must be placed on each purchase. Ars Hispana ensures data security through approved SSL encryption protocol. Payments by card or by bank transference are admitted. It is important that the customer pick up the books with the receipt of income or the voucher of transfer. The books will only be delivered when its payment had been validated. If the person who will take the books is not the buyer, must be provided with the necessary documentation.

-PayPal: you will be redirected to the Paypal web, where you should join with your personal account. This payment method includes administration fees.
