Pedro Anselmo Marchal was a famous French harpsichordist, pianist, composer, teacher and businessman. He became known at the Concerts Spirituels in Paris in 1781. From then on he began to develop his career as a concertist, later along with his harpist wife María Teresa Schneider, and as a composer. He worked in Paris, Lisbon, Madrid and Bordeaux, where he died in 1821. His works include pieces for solo harpsichord or pianoforte and with instrumental accompaniment.
