La gloria de los santos is the only preserved oratorio by Pedro Rabassa, although we know that he composed several. It was premiered in the church of the Congregation of San Felipe Neri of Valencia in 1715 and seems to have been the first oratorio to be presented in Palma de Mallorca, having been performed in the city's Oratory church on the 8th August 1717. We know that some years later in 1723 this oratorio was also performed in Córdoba. La gloria de los santos is an allegorical oratorio that exposes, in dialogue, what happens to the Soul when it is rewarded with divine glory.
