Corselli | Villancicos and cantatas to the Holy Sacrament Vol. 3 DIGITAL

We publish in this collection the villancicos and cantatas al Santísimo by Francisco Corselli (1705-1778), chapelmaster of the Royal Chapel of Madrid. Each volume includes cantatas for a solo voice -soprano, alto, tenor and bass-, sometimes preceded by an estribillo for 8 voices. In addition, another volume is dedicated to the villancicos to the Holy Sacrament composed for a chorus.

This volume includes one villancico-cantata and nine alto cantatas. Some of them were composed for the alto José (or Giuseppe) Gallicani.
